Sondre Lerche with Golden Republic, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22

Being from Scandinavia is seemingly a prerequisite for any exciting new rock act. Hail from the snow and ice countries and your credibility automatically increases. Lerche became a star in his native Norway while still a teen. But he doesn't bang out the proto-garage rock of his area brethren.
