Post by nymusicalsguy »

Coming June 27 from SoulMusic Records, Cherry Red Records, and Second Disc Records:

Dionne Warwick's MAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF: THE SCEPTER RECORDINGS 1962-1971 is a new 12CD collection with 280 tracks including every one of Dionne's Scepter albums (in stereo) and singles plus over 60 bonus tracks including 16 previously unreleased recordings (including alternate takes of such Bacharach/David tunes as "Who Gets the Guy" and "Walk the Way You Talk;" live recordings such as the complete 1970 Garden State Arts Center show in sequence and a 1969 Washington, DC concert; and more) and new-to-CD tracks like Leslie Uggams and Dionne's duet on Burt and Hal's "Try to See It My Way." The 68-page booklet includes rare photos, previously unpublished quotes from both Dionne and Burt, and full discography. You'll find all of the details here:

Re the new to CD duet, I've recently discovered that Dionne Warwick is also credited as the producer of the recording by Leslie Uggams of 'Try To See It My Way' for which she supplied the second voice.
