Dory Previn dead at 86

I originally posted (then deleted) this under the Burt DNA thread. The melody for Dory`s next-to-best-known work qualified, but was written by someone named Fred Karlin. She, of course, wrote the lyrics for "Valley of the Dolls", but strangely went almost utterly neglected in the age of the singer/songwrter when she should have been prominent. Guess her material was too dark. Here`s that pop hit she co-wrote:

The enchanting “Come Saturday Morning”. In my opinion on of the most beautifully written songs of the late sixties. Few songs captured the seasons for this 19 year old growing up in the northeast like this one by a group from Plainfield New Jersey.
