Hello friends!

I'm excited to share the news that the Iconoclassic Records label will be reissuing Carole Bayer Sager's 1981 album SOMETIMES LATE AT NIGHT on CD in a deluxe expanded edition due February 3. Primarily written by Carole and Burt, and produced by Burt and the late, great Brooks Arthur, SOMETIMES boasts a host of beautiful Bacharach/Sager songs and contributions from Michael Jackson, Marvin Hamlisch, Neil Diamond, Peter Allen, David Foster, Melissa Manchester, Richard Page, Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro of Toto, and other luminaries. Iconoclassic's reissue offers bonus material including the original single versions of both "Stronger Than Before" and "Easy to Love Again" which feature additional instrumentation and unique endings (whereas the album versions flow directly into the next song). Additionally, 20 minutes of audio commentary from Sager and Bacharach has been culled from a radio station promotional album, offering insight into their creative process at the time. SOMETIMES has been remastered from the original tapes by Vic Anesini at Battery Studios - past CD reissues have not utilized original sources - and a 24-page booklet is also included. I've written a 5,600-word essay for the project which features fresh and unpublished quotes from Carole, Burt, Brooks Arthur, and Melissa Manchester. The booklet also contains full lyrics, photos, and memorabilia.
