Catchy little ditty from the score for 'After The Fox' ...okay there's no Kazoos but a nice arrangement all the same....

I'm very fond of Bacharach's quirky score for After The Fox so I find it a bit sad that he's felt the need to try and airbrush it from his CV in recent years, both in his autobiography and in numerous press interviews when he's talked about his 60s film scores. Probably the worst thing about the soundtrack is the title song but other than that it's a witty and inventive score and certainly nothing for him to feel ashamed of or to be in denial over.

This track features 'Making A Movie In Sevalio' and 'Gold, Gold Who's Got The Gold':

After The Fox is shown a lot on British TV and every time I hear this piece from the score entitled 'Italian Fuzz' it makes me smile. Apparently it's Bacharach himself playing the Hammond Organ.
