Here's the link to the BBC Radio 2 page and the show broadcast on New Year's Eve. Nothing really new from Burt during the interview but Kyle Riabco comes across as a highly articulate, sensitive and astute young man. The show features twenty Bacharach classics including several performances taken from the 'Close to You - Bacharach reimagined' show with Kyle Riabco performing alone live in the radio studio, much to Bacharach's obvious appreciation. This show is available to listen to again via this link for the next twenty-six days:

Thanks Martin. It was interesting to listen to the show again. As skilled an interviewer as Paul Gambaccini undoubtedly is, even he was going to have his work cut-out getting anything new from Bacharach and I think it was perhaps very revealing that when Gambaccini gave him the opportunity to describe what must have been his feelings of joy and relief regarding his remarkable 80s comeback he decided instead to talk about the 'Lost Horizon' disaster and all the fall-out attached to it, something he's done in virtually every interview I've heard him give in recent years.
