Once again - PROOF - that the commercial failure and lambasting by the film critics was in no way related to the quality of the songs. In spite of some of the vocal performances - I still enjoy listening to the Lost Horizon soundtrack.

:D Bonjour Blue;

Thanks for this click of Burt with the kids doing, "A World Is A "Circle!" It's been a while since I saw this footage! Priceless!!!

Just like Ron indicated, there was nothing wrong with Burt music & Hal's & lyrics on, Lost Horizon!!!

Burt indicated that he spent almost a year on this project!!! So I guess, when the moive was trashed, he took it very, very hard!!!

Burt, does include this song (even though its short) in his medleys, when he takes us to the movies in his concerts!

I wonder what some of those kids who are now adults are doing?

Take care mon ami.

Re World is a Circle

This was filmed in London in 1972 with kids from the Corona Stage Academy, one of whom was Nicholas Lyndhurst who Brits will know from the 80s sitcom 'Only Fools and Horses'. He's the little blond boy in the front row at the very end. Don't you just love trivia! This is a great tune, sadly tainted by its association with 'Lost Horizon'.
