Dionne In Top Form

Last night (Sat.) I attended a concert given by Dionne in Enid, Oklahoma. Last time I attended one of her concerts was ten (10) years ago in Oklahoma City and I must say her voice was clearer and stronger last night than that last concert I mentioned. To me, the highlight of the evening was her delivery of "Alfie". She performed it with sheer emotion. In fact, every song she sang was like an encore. She apologized at the start of the program about having a bad cold however her performance was unaffected by it. I do hope that she will team up once again with Burt and Hal to record new material a la Elvis Costello and Carole Bayer-Sager (Sometimes Late At Night).
