Mystery Song, Mystery Writers

Post by Blair N. Cummings »

This has nothing to do with Burt but is of similar melodic invention. The credits are to three names who are not known to me or known to have written (in any combination or singly) another song.

Anyone have a clue?

This could pass for a Jimmy Webb inpersonating Bacharach dupe. The lyrics have Jimmy Webb's imagery rich style with that perfect balance of sanguine chord structure with melancholy theme. Whoever the mystery trio is that wrote this may well have been influenced by both him and Bacharach and may have been paying homage in their own lil way. Thank you Blair for finding this gem.

It was written by Graeme J Kronsberg and Michael Randall. Don't know much about Kronsberg but Randall wrote, among others, 'All Of My Life" (Diana Ross), "Leave A LIttle Room" (5th Dimension) and "When I Found You" (Peggy Lee) - all good songs.
