Dear readers,
Does anyone of you know whether there is an extended version of ‘the look of love’ by Dusty Springfield?
My version ends with (what sounds like) the beginning of a nice and longer trumpet part, but then in fades out...
I find this so beautiful and would like it to be longer... Any chance?

Best Regards from Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Dusty made two recordings of 'The Look of Love'. One was for the soundtrack for the film 'Casino Royale' with Burt Bacharach arranging and Phil Ramone producing. The other was for Philips, her record company, with Reg Guest as arranger and John Franz producer. The soundtrack recording lasts for under 4 minutes but Dusty is barely into the second verse of the song before the instrumental version featuring saxophone takes over for the duration. On the soundtrack album Dusty's vocal (a different take) is a little longer. For her Philips release Dusty recorded the song in its entirety. The track lasts for over three and a half minutes, all Dusty with just a shortish sax break in the middle.

Thanks a lot Paul! I compared the versions and it is the Casino Royale version that has those nice trumpets at the end...
From your answer I understand that there is no extended version where those trumpets play longer, instead of just fading out. I guess that I am wanting the original studio records... ‘Hard to bear’ that these trumpets did not serve for more than just the short outro, they deserve a longer part in that song.
Maybe - false hope - the film has a longer version..
