Sad day in the music world: The Queen of Soul has passed away. There will NEVER be another musician with that abundance of talent! I will truly miss her. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and many fans.

As uneven as her recording career was, her Young, Gifted and Black album is an indelible classic. There`s nothing like it to this day.

I was an admirer rather than a particular fan and the only record I have of hers is an old Atlantic 'Best Of' compilation.
