Content company Wisebuddah has signed a deal with promoter Senbla to become the exclusive audio partner of forthcoming London shows from Quincy Jones and Burt Bacharach.

As well as recording the concerts, Wisebuddah will create two programmes dedicated to each live show to air on BBC Radio 2.

Adam Uytman, head of content, Wisebuddah, said: “Quincy Jones and Burt Bacharach are, without doubt, two of the world’s greatest music icons. When Senbla approached us to become the exclusive audio partner for their forthcoming concerts, we were delighted. Understanding audio - whether it’s live or pre-recorded, for scheduled broadcast or on-demand consumption - means we have the expertise to create the best possible content from these live experiences. We are in conversation with a number of other promoters who are keen to work with us in the same way.”

Ollie Rosenblatt, MD of Senbla, said: “Capturing the live experience can be very challenging. Wisebuddah have outstanding credentials in this area, so are the perfect partner for us. We are looking forward to extending the reach of these seminal concerts, not only through the high-profile broadcasts on BBC Radio 2, but through other plans we have for the distribution of this unique and very special audio."

Wisebuddah will work with Senbla on Quincy Jones: A Life In Song, staged on June 27 at the O2 Arena in London. A celebration of his 85th birthday year, Jones will be joined by a host of special guests including Caro Emerald, Jess Glynne, Lalah Hathaway, Mick Hucknall, Beverley Knight, Mark Ronson and Jack Savoretti.

Burt Bacharach returns to the stage for the first time in two years on July 6 and 7 July at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Wisebuddah recently launched the Radio 2 Rock Show with Johnnie Walker.

The company also is known for profiling the work of leading artists, including David Bowie, Donna Summer, Prince, Carole King and Phil Collins. Programmes dedicated to those artists have been broadcast across Bauer and Celador networks, as well as on BBC Radio 2.
