Just a reminder that Lincoln Center will be livestreaming the concert presentation of "Some Lovers" tonight, Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. EST. The concert, part of Lincoln Center's LC Originals: First Look series, will feature top Broadway talent performing the songs of "Some Lovers," Burt Bacharach and Steven Sater's acclaimed new musical. Well, having just watched and heard this I have to say that my original assessment holds true. With only a couple exceptions the melodies are meandering and unmemorable. The story is still a bummer. Re-inter this thing. Everything I`ve heard from New York Animals is superior.

The livestream is still available - I am not sure how long it will be. I really enjoyed the songs. I had perhaps listened to slightly more than half before so knew what quite a few were like. I think it is great to hear some fairly new Burt Bacharach melodies.
