I burst into tears when I heard the announcement on the radio. His songs mean so much to me. I have admired his genius for all these years. His versatility as a songwriter was truly astounding. No one lives forever. But I do believe that Hal will live on forever through his songs.

I completely echo your thoughts ! What a gift to place those natural sounding and contemporary sounding lyrics into that stunning contemporary sounding music! I can't think of anyone who has reached that level. What a loss.
