A real treat tonight in three programmes on BBC4 here in the UK. 'The Joy of Easy Listening' and 'Easy Listening Hits At The BBC' and best of all, 'Burt Bacharach - This Is Now'.
It never rains but it pours ... brilliant to watch on a Friday night of a Bank Holiday weekend with a glass of something chilled!! The extraordinary sound of BB and Hal and Dionne and how it evolved was something to behold .. even though I don't like the category 'easy listening', which it isn't, but is typical and irritating of the BBC's ignorant need to deposit everyone in a box. Even so .. excellent stuff!
