Brian Wilson song with a Bacharach twist

Check it out and see if you agree...In 1965, Brian Wilson wrote (with Russ Titleman) and produced "Guess I'm Dumb" for Glen Campbell.

The sound quality is not good but you can have an idea...that the song has a Bacharach touch...what do you think?

Brian has always acknowledged Burt as an influence. You are right, this track does have some "Bacharach" influence, but it also has his, and
Spector's as well.
Brian promised Glen that he'd produce a record for him, at Glen's request...After Campbell started going solo, he did. Wilson wrote this with his future co-producer Russ Titleman.
Fascinating song, great record...too bad it didn't chart...

Wow! I'm a big fan of Glen Campbell's 1960s output, particularly his work with Jimmy Webb, but I had never heard that track before. It's absolutely beautiful and sounds very much like a collaboration between Brian Wilson and Burt Bacharach. I'd love to hear a rich, stereo mix of it. Thanks so much for the tip. It made my evening!

YES!!! I totally agree that this song is great and very much a Bacharach sounding production. In fact, it's hard for me to believe that Burt didn't write it, it's that good.
