New discovery of an old Record - Rosanne By Burt Bacharach

Post by steveo_1965 »

Back in the day when concerto styled piano solos were popular...(Exodus, Theme From Ben Casey, Theme From the Apartment, Born Free, etc.)
Burt put out this rare record. NOt written by Burt(written by Arranging Great Glenn Osser) and with orchestra arranged and conducted by Don Costa's associate Marion Evans,
here we have Burt doing a delightful Playhouse 90 type Theme
entitled Rosanne....There's a bit of exotica in it, reminiscent of the TV Theme Hawaiian Eye(at Times) and also the dramatic low octaves, such as in Martin Denny's Quiet Village...The Bridge has lovely singing strings the 2nd time around. (Octaves placed strategically in their singing tessitura)
