Bacharach & Robertson "Best we ever had"

In 1995 Burt Bacharach & B.A. Robertson wrote the song "Best we ever had" for the ABC TV Movie "The derby". The singer was Tina Moore.

You can find the movie here:

Serene Dominic's book

I love the book. It's one of the best source of information about Bacharach work, from the early years to the present.

Bacharach new cd "New Music From An Old Friend"

From Ted Perlman site (http://www.tedperlman.com/) In February of 2007 a new CD is coming out that Ted worked on - "New Music From An Old Friend". Ted played the guitar solo on one of the Brian Wilson tracks - "What Love Can Do", and co-produced "Still Remember" with Bu...

Trijntje Oosterhuis - The look of love

I'm not so keen in cover of Bacharach songs, but this cd is really interesting. I love it in a special way. And Burt played piano in two tracks ... (and one track is the unusual "Waiting for Charlie (to came home)" from 1961).
Music played with love: the right thing for my Ipod!

BB playing BB

The song wasn't a Bacharach composition. M. Gustavo wrote the song. "Brigitte Bardot" was produced, arranged and conducted by Burt Bacharach, with vocal by Joel Grey.

I got my copy of the single at EBay. I spent more or less $ 10.

Everchanging times

Ciao Armando, Siedah Garrett sung the song in the OST. It's my favourite version of the song!

No concert in Trani

I went to Forli to see my third Bacharach concert in Italy (after the 2 times in 2004, Modena and Lucca). About Forlì Gabba is right, Bacharach seemed a little bit out of the game in the very first part of the show. But the place was hot and Bacharach soon answered to the warm of his pubblic. The c...

I'm a better man

I agree: the song should be a B&D standard.
And David McAlmont 1997 version (from the delicious English movie "Shooting Fish" was very good.

God Give Me Strength

A version of the song, sung by Kristen Vigard with orchestra, was recorded in a special MCA (not for sale).
The version is good, but nothing to compare with the orchestal version in the movie (when Matt Dillon conducts the orchestra).
