Re: Rumer

She sang at the John Barry Memorial Concert last Monday at the Royal Albert Hall. Made a mistake but a great perfomrmance anyway. She sang 'We Have All The Time In The World'

Alfie -the story of a song

When the film of Alfie opened in the UK in March 1966, Cilla Black's version of the Bacharach/David was released at around the same time and became a major hit. I saw the movie in May 1966 with my Dad at the Capitol, Forest Hill in South London, fully expecting to hear the song but it wasn't there.T...

Re: Article about Dionne from Wall Street Journal

"Dame Cilla"? What a bad joke! Probably the tackiest and most talentfree "entertainer" on the planet. All she got is a third class OBE. Burt Bacharach himself has said that Cilla Black's version of 'Alfie' is the best. In particular, he highlighted her rendition of the line, 'I ...

Re: Kennedy Center Honorees

I agree with the post saying that if Burt Bacharach were British he would have been knighted long ago.

Apply for dual nationality Burt, we Brit's will give you the recognition you deserve!!.

Re: They Don't Make Them Like They Used To

In fact I 've just done a search at amazon and the song was on a 1986 Kenny Rogers album called 'They Don't make Them Like They Used To'. This appears to have been re-released on CD in 2003 but is now out of print

They Don't Make Them Like They Used To

Does anybody know anything about this song from the film mid 80s movie 'Tough Guys' starring Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster. It was sung by Kenny Rogers with lyrics by Carol Bayer Sager.

It doesn't seem to have been released in any form.

Really nice song

Re: Burt in London tonight: concert review

Burt was interviewed on BBC1's 'The One Show' last night. This show always annoys me. They have good guests but then interview them for just a few minutes. However Burt's show was one of the better ones.

It can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow for the next six days

VERY VERY VERY WELL... WHAT ELSE COULD WE SAY MY FRIENDS. LET'S HOPE THAT OUR PRESS AND MEDIA SISTEM WILL GIVE THE EVENT THE IMPORTANCE IT DESERVES. BENE,BENE,BENE BENE.... What the Italian media says doesn't really matter. The Italian fans should just enjoy the concert and stuff the media. Bachara...
