I suspect that most of the people who read this forum are aware that Burt's father, Bert Bacharach, was a well-known columnist. I was. And for some reason, I assumed he wrote about showbiz-type stuff. But I recently stumbled across his 1970 book How to Do Almost Everything at a second-hand book sale...

Just got tickets to the Vegas concert -- the seventh (?) time I've seen Bacharach in concert, but the first in a long time.

People always refer to "Bacharach-David," but "David-Bacharach" would be just as apt. There was never anyone else like him, before or after. What unimaginable good fortune that they found each other and worked together.
