Re: A preview of Adele's terrific theme to the new James Bon
Interesting.
I'll only add at this point that the Dionne version was clearly meant for the opening credits. It fits and runs for 3.06. The Bassey version is shorter at 2.28. Too short for the opening credits but probably suitable for the end credits.

Re: Put Your Youtube.com Links Here! (if you want)
Dionne Warwick arranged and produced "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" for the 1965 film Thunderball...in what John Barry called one of the most interesting arrangements of the tune he had ever heard. Warwick's recording of Kiss Bang was removed from the film at the last minute and replaced with ...

Re: A preview of Adele's terrific theme to the new James Bon
And the greatest Bond theme that never was. Dionne's stunning "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" which the stupid producers cut from "Thunderball" because it was considered too suggestive. Not true. Dionne's version of Mister Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was dropped because at the last minute, th...

Re: Samples of all 12 songs on Dionne's new album "Now"
I wasn't expecting much from this. I'm not a great fan of much of Dionne's recent work and the voice is, as others have said, inevitably much diminished. However, I really like the samples great songs beautifully sung. I'll be ordering this CD for sure. Nice to have Dionne deliver a strong album aga...

Re: Hal David is gone
I'm very sorry to hear this news. One of the very best lyric writers and so many great songs with Burt Bacharach and others.
Hal has gone but his work will live on.
May he Rest In Peace.

Let The Love Come Through
"Let The Love Come Through" is a Bacharach/David song which uses a melody from the Casino Royale score. Whether the song was written specifically for the movie but rejected or lyrics were added later, I don't know. Only recording is by The Roland Shaw Orchestra on one of their Bond music a...
