Since I don`t have physical copies of either, I can`t be sure. I`m going literally by the book (Bacharach Song by Song) on this. I`ll defer to your expertise.

New stab at an old topic
A while back I inquired about a ballet BB was working on with the choreographer Gillian Lynne.
No one then knew (or at any rate, no one posted) anything about it. Has anyone stumbled accross any info since then?

Woman / Futures
I`ve bored and exasperated legions on this subject but seem never to tire of it myself. My preference has always been for the pure instrumental compositions. Despite my love for songs like "I`m a Better Man", "Come and Get Me" et al, I`d probably choose the soundtrack recordings ...

The Elusive Bacharach/Bop Connection
BB has always cited jazz pioneers from the bop era as major influences but until recently I had never been able to discern any real connection. His few beautiful post-bop pieces for What`s New, Pussycat? aside, the compositions seemed solely rooted in traditional pop architecture. Then one night I f...

Rare Bacharach
The Raven folks responded to my inquiry about a second volume of rarities last year by stating that the licensing hassles were enough to discourage the project.

Webb box set
The Webb set is surely a worthy investment for any fan of the writer`s music. True, the earliest albums had a rougher sound than did subsequent releases, but the characteristic melodies adorn much of that material as well. And no-one (myself included) who would as soon hear Bacharach sing his own ma...

DW`s `72 Warner Bros. re-issue
Administrator:
A few months ago we were encouraged to expect a release date from Rhino for the `72 "DionneWarwicke" album.
I e-mailed them a week or two ago for an update and haven`t heard back.
Perhaps you`ll have better luck.
Thanks.

Lost Horizon
Entirely by accident, I discovered a site offering the movie on video. They seem to accept payment by Pay-Pal only and I can`t vouch for the legitimacy of the thing, but go to www.wings.to/rarevid/h.htm and check it out.

New Work?
To Administrator:
While we`re waiting (nearly a year? Really?) for the Sony album, are there any album-length projects in the pipeline? Soundtracks? Another collaboration with a singer?

Hip-O compilation
It enabled me to test for the first time in a quarter century two long-held biases. #1. WOMAN is his best album and an unmatched creative peak. #2. Given only the two collaborations with Libby Titus that I`m aware of, it would have been a creatively more rewarding partnership than that with Carole B...

Dionne Warwick(e?) re-issue
Does anyone (Administrator?) have any info as to when Rhino Handmade plans to re-issue Dionne`s first Warner`s / last Burt & Hal album?
