Re: Another great song that sounds like Bacharach

For me Tony Hatch's "Where Are You Now?" is the best song that Burt Bacharach never wrote. :-D

Hey Geoff! The producer was Luther Dixon and it was arranged by Bert Keyes.

Hi Marcel, she recorded a whole album of Bacharach songs, but I haven't heard it yet.

Re: Did Phil Spector write one lyric or compose one note?

Spector is certainly credited as co-writer on most of his biggest hit's as well as producing them. His recording engineer was Larry Levine and his arranger was Jack Nitzsche. Most of his hits were recorded at Goldstar Studios using a group of musicians famously known as "The Wrecking Crew"...

Re: Burt Bacharach on Èl Records

"Kleine Treue Nachtigall" is one of my favorites, too. I also like the Jack Jones songs. I bought it mainly for the rare tracks.

Burt Bacharach on Èl Records

I recently bought the "Make It Easy On Yourself 1962" CD. It's the third and last volume from the series. There are some fantastic tracks on it. I immediately ordered the other ones. What do you think?

Re: Ron, further "expansion"...

I'm a big Jimmy Webb fan, but I've never heard these songs. They're really beautiful and Jimmy's voice is in good shape. I wish they would re-release those songs, or the soundtrack from the movie Voices which includes the beautiful I Will Always Wait For You.
