I reckon it is a repeat of the documentary broadcast a couple of years ago, but with new content edited into it. Great to hear it again anyway!

Burt Concert Footage

Is anyone aware of any old BB concert footage at all? - Thinking about it, I'm quite surprised that there seems to be nothing out there, considering his touring schedule back in the 70s.

I'd happily give a couple of toes for one of those big orchestra shows on video/dvd!!

The Burt Bacharach Story - BBC Radio 2 this Friday

Some great news here, a four-part documentary - although I'm not sure if it's the same documentary they broadcast a few years ago, the review I read said " a new documentary". You can listen online on Friday or 'listen again' for a week after the first part has been broadcast. "What T...

I didn't even know that version was in existence - and it does indeed grow on you.

What's Next Pussycat?

Hello all

I was just wondering if anyone had any news about what Burt's next project might be. Will he be working with any other artists in the near future? And what do you think of the chances are of us being graced with another solo album?

Thanks
Andrew

Gene Pitney dies this morning

Just heard the sad news that Gene Pitney passed away this morning in his hotel room: American superstar Gene Pitney has been found dead in his bed in a Cardiff hotel. The 65-year-old singer - who found fame with Twenty Four Hours From Tulsa - was pronounced dead at the Hilton hotel at around 1000 BS...

Wouldn't it have been great if Burt had have been asked to provide the score and theme for the new 21st Bond film Casino Royale!

Anyone who had a cologne

Ralph Lauren's Polo Cologne - now being advertised on UK television to the music of Anyone Who Had A Heart!

There must be some royalties earned with the number of ads that have used BB songs over the years!

I've scoured the net and have been unable to find anything relating to the sheet music for ATT. Let's hope Sony's publishing arm releases it soon!

Yorkshire Puddings

Burt and Yorkshire Puddings are not something I ever would have put together, but I've just seen an ad on national tv for Aunt Bessy's Yorkshire Puddings which had What The World Needs Now playing as it's theme!
