Yes Mark, for me at least Stefan Wesley's name is the most conspicuous. Sadly both he and his famous Hitmaker Archive site have long since disappeared.

Happy 60th birthday today to Corinne Drewery, lead singer and songwriter in Swing Out Sister and a fellow Bacharach fan. 'Mama Didn't Raise No Fool' is a favourite of mine of theirs.

Slower than I remember it from Oxford last year but still special. Based purely on this concert version of the song I'd say it's one of Bacharach's best compositions of the last fifty years.
