For many years I cleared my calendar in order to watch the grammy telecast. Last night - I accepted a last minute dinner invitation. Based upon what I heard and read today - I'm glad I did!

Once again - PROOF - that the commercial failure and lambasting by the film critics was in no way related to the quality of the songs. In spite of some of the vocal performances - I still enjoy listening to the Lost Horizon soundtrack.

Gee - this is gonna be tough! For starters - I kinda like "Heartlight" and it is probably the only Bacharach song I can imagine Neil Diamond performing well! .... I'll come up with some other nominations. I've considered a topic at the other end of the spectrum - songs that are "VERY ...

Hey Vincent! I've said it before and I'll say it again - reading one of your reviews or speaking with you following a Burt Bacharach or Dionne Warwick Concert is as close as you can get to being there yourself. Pleased to hear that you, Cheryl, Dorrie and your friends were given the "royal trea...

What a terrific addition this would have been to Dionne Warwick's re-released Christmas CD "My Favorite Time Of The Year" which was recorded 3+ years ago! It is one of those songs that sounds like it could have been written especially for her!

I've been to many many music retailers (I still call them "record stores") over the past 50 years and I do not recall ever seeing Burt's or Dionne's recordings in the "Oldies" section. That says a lot about the TIMELESS QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. The "easy listening" tag fo...
