Re: 'Searching Wind'

Yes except that I can't imagine that Paul McCartney, who apparently wrote 'The Fool On The Hill' by himself, would have had much if any opportunity to have heard the rarer than rare 'Searching Wind'. This is as good an opportunity as any to feature Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch's delightful recording...

Re: New album in 2020?

The Portraits album was released around `74 in the US with the more pedestrian title, Greatest Hits. What was never released in the US until its inclusion on the Something Big set was the first live album on A&M. I could never figure out why. Blair, Was ''Portrait in Music... Volume 2' ever release...

Re: 'The Vampires of Camelon'

Blue, it sounds like a Bacharach pastiche. An item on BBC TV news a couple of days ago about an eco-friendly housing estate in Norwich winning an architecture award featured this instrumental piece from the 60s playing in the background for some inexplicable reason which despite being composed by w...

Re: Burt Bacharach and Joss Stone, London, July

Sadly Joss Stone's career has been on a downward trajectory for some years now but at least she's still touring and recording, unlike another British female singer with a distinctive voice who's fallen off the radar in recent years, Duffy, or as the media constantly referred to her, 'Welsh singer D...

Re: Need help trying to remember a song

Geoff, Thank you for pointing out my mistake...I've now posted the correct link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlh2QOLJopY BTW 'The Honey Bees' version i...

'How Does A Man Become A Puppet'... Ed Ames

Rare Bacharach / David song, a kind of lyrical version of the instrumental 'She's Gone Away'
