Intriguingly the most sustained applause of the evening for an individual number was for 'Blanket of Capes', one of the new songs featuring lyrics by Melody Federer. Taking a particular motif from a song and using it for the intro and fade on the recording is a very Bacharachian trait, and so is having female backing vocalists sing it wordlessly.
