Re: Dionne Warwick's documentary "Don't Make Me Over" will be on CNN new years day.

Just a heads-up to let UK readers know that BBC TWO will be showing this documentary at 8.40pm on Saturday 4th March, followed at 10.15pm by an extended "Dionne Warwick at the BBC" compilation programme, which runs for 89 minutes. Both are "must watches"!

Re: Thanks for everything.

He was responsible for the music of my life - from the 1960’s to the present day. Maestro, we will miss you.
So happy to be able to say I met him back in 1964 when he was touring with Marlene Dietrich as her accompanist / arranger/conductor.

Re: Dionne Warwick Rarities Collection

I must be in the minority here - I am so looking forward to hearing some of these rarities - and I still think that the Scepter recordings are the high point of Dionne's singing career. Her voice and range are breathtaking in some of her discs from that period. Bring it on!

What a gem! She was so assured and relaxed. I loved hearing Any Old Time of the Day. Priceless!

"Asteroid" - the Pearl and Dean theme was composed by Pete Moore - not sure where you got the Webb connection from! Catchy tune though.

How was it? Would have loved to have gone, but it was a bit soon after Burt's last Edinburgh visit to the same venue.

Burt Bacharach book

For those of you who live in the UK - the bargain store "Poundland" has copies of Burt's recent book "Anyone Who Had a Heart - My Life and Music" for a measly quid!

At least the branch on Livingston/Scotland near me had a pile of them on a stand near the door
