Re: Concert choice

This was the first time I ever heard this song and I was blown away by it.
Still think this is a phenomenal arrangement and vocal.

Did I miss a discussion about this one ?

I listened to a track called Amanda which I'd never heard.
It features some strange percussion choices but some classic Bacharach hooks...

Re: Herb Alpert's next album includes new Bacharach-Costello composition

Would definitely love to hear the vocal version of this.
I'm hearing something along the lines of, "oh - if I could just become forgetful....."

Re: Olympics Music

This came in my Spotify discover weekly list. Interesting concept and seems to be very well done.

There is a whole album's worth - including Aretha's version of Walk On By..but this one is good.

Bruce

I’ve always thought the E-Street Band could do a great version of (There Goes) The Forgotten Man. I doubt there will be anything like that on Bruce’s next album but - interesting to read that it was influenced by Glen Campbell, Jimmy Webb and Burt... http://variety.com/2017/music/news/bruce-springst...

Thats a monumental song and about the best vocal you’re ever gonna get from Jimmy.
Devastating.

Re: Most complex Bacharach song ever

Amazing to see Dionne sing that version of Who Gets The Guy. So effortless. Phenomenal. I feel under-qualified to evaluate song complexity but these seem like they belong on this list: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj4ijgUhpLA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8ByJ1C0iR4

Fantastic. How did Hal David come up with the line, “Sail when the wind starts to blow” ?

The performance of Walk On By is especially magical.
